Beau Wilberding, Founder/Principal
“Always be authentic. Build an approach that captures and reflects your authenticity.”
Beau is the founder of the Unknown Write Shop. He is an experienced communications strategist, content lead and creative. Colleagues call him a business poet. Other colleagues call him “East Coast Beau.”
Having maintained a business writing practice for more than a decade, Beau is busy every day consulting with thought leaders, manufacturers and service providers, building content at the shop, or working with journalists. Among our clients are manufacturers, think tanks and economists.
Beau holds a BA in Social Science from the University of South Florida and an MBA in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. While he refers to himself as “a writer,” Beau has been responsible for clients’ global content strategy since 2014.
With strong press, web, curriculum and technical writing background, Beau has acumen and experience in proposal development and grant writing, where his work wins. Having written several Masters- and Bachelor’s-level curricula for accredited universities, he adores huge writing projects with lots of nuance. Technical writing areas of focus include highly regulated segments such as infrastructure maintenance, hydraulic systems, manufactured equipment, automotive goods, parts and any number of printed and woven textiles. Additional subject matter expertise includes compliant communication for nutritional supplements, wearable therapeutics and pharmaceutical products.
Beau’s goal is to listen continuously, and then build authentic language that reflects his clients values. He founded a profitable dotcom in the mid-90’s, has held executive leadership positions in several industries, and currently plays and sings in two musical trios.
